Electronics Policy

Cell phones and personal electronics are to be powered off and stored away while on school grounds.

If a student does not follow this policy, the following will happen:

  • The student will be given one reminder about the policy
  • If the student’s phone or electronic item is seen or heard again after one reminder in the same class period, the student will be asked to turn in the item

1st incident:

  • Student’s family will be contacted
  • Student can pick up their phone after school, no sooner
  • Incident will be documented

2nd incident:

  • Student’s family will be contacted
  • Student can pick up their phone from their Administrator
  • Incident will be documented

3rd incident:

  • Student’s family will be contacted by their Administrator
  • A family meeting will be set up with their Administrator, the student’s family, and the student
  • A “no phone contract” will be signed by all, and a plan will be put in place for the student’s phone to no longer be on them during the school day
