The Source and Schoology

The Source and Schoology are separate software applications . Parents/guardians must register to create an account to have access to this information.

Seattle Public Schools – Instructions for The Source.

The Source: is a place for parents/guardians and students to check on attendance, schedules, academic accomplishments, grades and assessment scores.

Schoology for Families: is a Learning Management System (LMS) tool that teachers may use to communicate with parents, guardians, and students about day-to-day coursework, such as dates, assignments, and homework submission. Schoology for Students.

Class Registration Instructions:

To begin the registration process, please have your student log in to their Source account. Once logged in, follow the steps below:

1. Access “Class Registration”:
   • On the left-hand side of the screen, click on the “Class Registration” option.
2. Review Instructions:
   • Carefully read all instructions provided before selecting any elective courses.
3. Browse Available Electives:
   • Scroll down the list of electives to view all available options. You may select up to two year-long courses or four semester-long courses, based on your preferences.
