Red Ribbon Week Oct. 24-28

Summary: Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention program!

Dear Denny Parents,

Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention program and reaches millions of Americans each year from October 24 to 28 in thousands of schools, communities and drug abuse prevention organizations.

The Red Ribbon Anti-Drug Campaign is a community’s response to tragedy to honor Special Agent KiKi Camarena’s memory and visibly show a dedication to avoid drug abuse.  Join this year’s activities by participating in classroom activities, the Red Ribbon Week Theme Contest, SW Choose Wisely Prevention Art Contest and by participating in Spirit Days.

You are important!  Did you know?  Teens who hear about the risk of drugs from their parents are 50% less likely to use them. Start Talking now. StartTalkingNow.org.  A good resource is at Teenlink: 1-866-833-6546.
